Role Description This full time Fire Protection Engineer role is an on-site position based in Bengaluru.

The Fire Protection

Engineer will design, review, and optimize fire protection and suppression systems for industrial and structural projects, ensuring compliance with NFPA and other applicable standards. Daily responsibilities include performing hazard and risk assessments, preparing technical drawings and specifications, and coordinating with project managers, designers, and site teams. The role involves reviewing installation plans, conducting inspections and functional testing of systems, and documenting findings and corrective actions.

The Fire Protection

Engineer will also support safety audits, provide technical guidance to internal teams and clients, and contribute to continuous improvement of fire and life safety practices.

Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical. Knowledge of Fire protection system is a must.

Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced Fire Protection Engineer with a minimum of 2 years of experience in fire protection system execution. Prior working experience will be checked. The candidate will be responsible for planning, supervising and coordinating fire protection works under Head of project,



ensuring execution as per approved drawings, project specifications, applicable codes and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and execute fire protection systems at project sites.
- Review and understand fire protection shop drawings, layouts, hydraulic calculations, BOQs and specifications.
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, contractors and internal project teams for smooth execution.
- Ensure installation is carried out as per approved drawings and project specifications.
- Supervise installation of:
- Fire hydrant systems
- Automatic sprinkler systems
- Fire pump systems
- Fire hose reel systems
- Fire extinguishers
- Fire alarm systems
- Fire suppression systems, where applicable
- Fire water tanks and associated piping
- Monitor fire protection piping fabrication, erection, supports, valves, fittings and equipment installation.
- Ensure proper routing, elevations, pipe supports, valve arrangements and equipment installation.
- Coordinate with civil, electrical, HVAC and other MEP teams to resolve site clashes.
- Prepare and maintain daily progress reports, manpower reports and material requirements.
- Coordinate with stores/procurement teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Check materials received at site against approved specifications and BOQ requirements.
- Coordinate with QA/QC for inspections and ensure proper documentation.
- Conduct and coordinate hydrostatic pressure testing, flushing, flow testing and system testing.
- Assist in testing and commissioning of fire pumps and fire protection systems.
- Coordinate with consultants/client representatives during inspections and testing.
- Prepare and close inspection requests, punch points and snag lists.




- Ensure all completed works are properly documented and support preparation of as-built drawings.
- Ensure compliance with applicable NBC, NFPA, FM Global and project-specific standards, wherever applicable.
- Identify technical issues at site and provide practical solutions in coordination with the Project Manager/Design Team.
- Ensure compliance with company and client HSE requirements.

- Basic hydraulic calculations and system requirements

Codes & StandardsKnowledge of the following will be an advantage:
- NFPA Standards
- NBC – National Building Code of India
- IS Standards related to fire protection
- FM Global requirements
- Project-specific/client fire protection standards

Candidate Profile
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in fire protection system execution.
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Civil, Fire Engineering or relevant discipline.
- Strong knowledge of fire protection site execution.
- Ability to read and interpret AutoCAD/shop drawings.
- Good manpower and subcontractor coordination skills.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with clients, consultants and contractors.
- Willingness to work at project sites.
- Candidates with experience in industrial, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, aerospace, commercial or large-scale fire protection projects will be preferred.
