Field Sales Representative – Construction Materials

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Field Sales Representative with a minimum of 2 years of experience in construction material sales, hardware, or appliances. The candidate will be responsible for field sales, developing customer relationships, generating new business, and driving sales of construction and hardware materials.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify and develop recent customers through field visits and market networking.
- Visit construction sites, contractors, builders, dealers, retailers, and other potential customers.
- Generate leads and convert them into sales.
- Promote and sell construction materials, hardware, and related products.
- Understand customer requirements and provide suitable product solutions.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and generate repeat business.
- Achieve assigned monthly sales targets.
- Conduct regular market visits and track competitor pricing and activities.
- Coordinate with internal teams for quotations, orders, deliveries, and customer requirements.




- Maintain regular reports of field visits, leads, and sales activities.

Requirements

- Minimum 2 years of relevant field sales experience.
- Experience in construction materials, building materials, hardware, or appliances is mandatory.
- Good knowledge of the construction-material and hardware market.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and customer-handling skills.
- Target-oriented and comfortable with extensive field travel.
- Ability to develop relationships with contractors, builders, dealers, and retailers.
- Valid driving licence and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in steel, TMT, cement, tiles, plywood, laminates, paints, sanitaryware, electrical, plumbing, hardware, building materials, or related industries will be preferred.
