Job Title: Steel Long Product Executive

Location: Taloja MIDC - Navi Mumbai

Reports To: Manager / Department Head

Job Summary:

The Steel Long Product Executive is responsible for managing the sourcing, sales, or production of steel long products. This role involves market analysis, customer relationship management, vendor coordination, and ensuring timely delivery and quality of products to meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:1. Sales & Marketing (if applicable):

- Develop and manage relationships with customers, distributors, and contractors.
- Identify new business opportunities and increase market share.
- Prepare and present sales proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities.

2. Sourcing & Procurement (if applicable):

- Source quality steel long products from domestic or international suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Ensure supplier compliance with technical specifications and certifications.

3. Production & Operations (if applicable):

- Coordinate with manufacturing units to plan production schedules for long products like rebars, wire rods, angles, channels, and beams.
- Monitor production efficiency and product quality.




- Resolve operational issues to ensure timely order fulfilment.

4. Logistics & Supply Chain:

- Oversee transportation and logistics to ensure timely delivery to customers or warehouses.
- Work with inventory and warehouse teams to manage stock levels efficiently.

5. Technical & Quality Assurance:

- Ensure products meet industry standards (e.g., ASTM, BS, IS).
- Coordinate with QA teams for product testing and certification.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- MBA or equivalent (preferred for commercial/sales roles).
- 3–7 years of experience in steel or construction materials industry, particularly in long products.

Key Skills:

- Knowledge of long steel product specifications and applications.
- Robust negotiation and communication skills.
- Familiarity with steel manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in MS Office; ERP knowledge (e.g., SAP) is a plus.
- Market awareness and customer orientation.
