PA Logistics Group
India
PA Logistics Group and PA Transport run freight brokerage, asset-based trucking, and supply chain consulting business. The business has grown faster than our financial systems. We need a seasoned freight accountant to build the reporting, planning, and accounting infrastructure we'll run on for years, and to wire it directly into how our operations work.
We're on a mission to build a $200 million logistics company, and you can be an impactful team member on a mission with the company to build to the moon
What you'll build
Design our cash flow reporting from the ground up: what we track, how often, and how leadership sees it
Set the standard for itemized transaction logging so every number traces back to the load, invoice, or settlement it came from
Create our audit process, covering internal controls and readiness for outside audits
Structure AP and AR across both entities: carrier settlements, quick pay, vendor payments, customer invoicing, aging, and collections, with verification controls on any banking or remit-to change
Build forecasting and cash flow projection models tied to real freight volume, lane margins, and payment terms
Organize our financial structure: chart of accounts, month-end close, reporting calendar, and documentation
Systems and integrations
Partner with our engineering team to integrate accounting into our TMS / operating platform.
Map how load, rate, invoice, and settlement data should flow into the books, and define the rules that keep it accurate
Cut manual entry and rework by automating repeatable workflows like invoicing, carrier pay, and reconciliations
Own the accounting side of any system change: requirements, testing, and sign-off before it goes live
What you'll keep running
Once it's built, you'll own it: monthly close, reporting, reconciliations, forecasts,
audit prep, and ongoing improvements to the integrations. You'll be the one telling leadership where we're making and losing money.
*Requirements**
10+ years of accounting experience
Freight, logistics, or transportation accounting experience is required. You know brokerage and carrier accounting, including carrier settlements, quick pay, factoring, accessorials, detention, fuel surcharge, and claims
Track record of building or overhauling reporting, close, or forecasting processes
Multi-entity accounting experience
Bachelor's in accounting or finance; CPA strongly preferred
Advanced Excel
Extremely detail-oriented: a number isn't done until it ties out
Can explain the numbers in plain English and push back when something doesn't add up
Who should apply
We're looking for an A player. If you have US logistics experience, or you're ready to learn it fast, and you want to join a lean, motivated, AI-first team on a mission to grow a startup, this is the place. You'll expand your role, take on new responsibilities, and grow with us.
We have a clear target: a $200 million logistics company. Getting there means our leaders need to stay focused on the big moves, and you'll be the one who makes that possible. You won't be watching from the sidelines. You'll work directly with our executives, see the impact of your work as we grow, and help take us from where we are today to where we're headed.
