About Help the Blind Foundation

Help The Blind Foundation (HTBF) is a nonprofit organization committed to empowering individuals with visual impairments through education, employability training, technology and professional development programs.

We leverage technology to run our programs, strengthen accessibility, streamline operations and amplify our impact across multiple initiatives such as scholarships and skill development.

About the Role

We are looking for an Enterprise Applications Manager to manage and strengthen the technology ecosystem that supports the Foundation's programs and operations.

This is a hands-on, generalist role suited to someone who enjoys taking ownership, working across functions and building practical technology solutions in a growing organization.

The role will work across multiple functional areas, including Finance, Operations, Program Management, Donor Management and Volunteer Coordination, involving planning, implementing and maintaining applications and systems, evaluating emerging technologies, managing technology vendors, and providing technical support and training to staff.

Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to plan, design, implement and support enterprise applications that enable the Foundation's day-to-day operations and initiatives.
- Monitor application availability and performance, identify technical issues and ensure their timely resolution to support the smooth functioning of programs.
- Support the design and implementation of a Learning Management System (LMS) to host accessible training materials and resources for visually impaired students.
- Conduct vendor assessments and support IT-related procurement and contract management, including monitoring service delivery and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

- Manage the organization's IT budget, including Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs) and software/product licensing costs.
- Maintain an inventory of hardware, software and licenses.
- Help maintain and enhance the Foundation's website and other digital platforms.
- Provide technical support, training and documentation to staff to ensure effective and efficient use of applications and technology systems.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, products and cloud services, with particular attention to their fit, inclusivity, accessibility and ability to integrate with the Foundation's existing technology ecosystem.
- Support the development and implementation of IT policies and practices that protect sensitive data and ensure data security and compliance with organizational and statutory requirements, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA).
- Ensure that applications, digital platforms and relevant digital content meet appropriate accessibility standards and inclusive design principles, particularly for users with visual impairments.
- Develop, implement and periodically test data backup and recovery plans.

What We're Looking For

Required

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in application development, implementation and maintenance, with an understanding of the complete application lifecycle.
- Hands-on experience developing,

customizing or implementing solutions using Zoho or similar low-code/no-code platforms.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Solid communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders ranging from field staff to senior leadership and trustees.

Preferred

- Experience with Zoho CRM.
- Experience working in nonprofit, social-sector or small-organization environments.
- Exposure to multiple business functions such as Finance, Operations, Program Management or Donor Management.
- Good understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud services and emerging technologies.
- Experience managing IT projects and technology implementations.
- Experience with vendor management, procurement, contracts or service-level management.
- Familiarity with data protection, information security and compliance requirements.
- Understanding of digital accessibility and inclusive technology practices.

Why Join Us? This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of technology and social impact, with the ownership to influence technology decisions and build systems that make the Foundation's programs more efficient.

You'll work across functions, solve meaningful problems and see the direct impact of your work on the lives of people with visual impairments.

This role may particularly suit someone returning from a career break, transitioning into the social-impact sector, or looking for meaningful work where their technology skills can contribute to a larger purpose.

Compensation

₹3.5–5 Lakhs per annum, depending on experience and suitability for the role.
