We are seeking a seasoned Engineering Leader to head the maintenance and reliability function at our Kolkata Container Terminal, handling ~40,000 TEU per month. The terminal operates 4 Liebherr Diesel Mobile Harbour Cranes (MHCs), 2 Electric Italguru RTGs, 3 Noell RTGCs, and Broma spreaders.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead engineering operations, ensuring maximum uptime and reliability of MHCs, RTGs, RTGCs, and spreaders.
- Implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
- Drive continuous improvement in equipment performance, safety, and energy efficiency.
- Manage engineering teams, contractors, and OEM service providers.
- Oversee spare parts planning, inventory control, and vendor management.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, environmental, and safety regulations.
- Report KPIs on equipment availability,



MTTR, and maintenance costs to senior management.
- Carry out RCA for failures and incidents.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
- 12+ years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance, with at least 5 years in leadership roles at ports/container terminals.
- Robust knowledge of Liebherr MHCs, RTGs (Italguru, Noell), and Broma spreader systems.
- Proven track record in reliability engineering, SAP PMS/MM modules, and maintenance planning.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
