About GridProGridPro builds structured multiblock hexahedral meshing software for computational fluid dynamics. Our customers are engineers running some of the most demanding simulations in the world — turbomachinery, hypersonics, external aerodynamics — where mesh quality is not a detail but the thing the whole result rests on.
The RoleYou will lead our Bangalore application engineering team — the engineers who make customers successful with GridPro, and who provide the technical weight behind our sales efforts in USA ,Europe and Asia-Pacific.
Two things sit in your hands. The first is our installed base: making sure customers get expert help fast, that hard problems get solved rather than deflected, and that the team’s knowledge compounds instead of evaporating. The second is new business: when a prospect evaluates GridPro against a large incumbent, you and your team are the reason we win it on technical merit.
It is a genuinely senior role in a small company. You will report to the COO, you will have real authority over how your team’s time is spent.
What you’ll do• Lead and grow the application engineering team — hiring, development, and the standard of technical work.
- Own how the team’s capacity is allocated across customer support and pre-sales, and make the trade-offs visible rather than absorbing them
- Run the technical side of customer evaluations and proofs of concept in USA ,Europe and APAC, and personally engage where the deal warrants it
- Be the final technical judgment on whether GridPro can meet what a customer is asking for
- Carry what the field learns back into the product as specific, evidenced input to the roadmap
- Build the assets that make the team faster over time — reusable topologies, benchmark cases, training material, documented method
What we need• Strong hands-on background in CFD meshing, with real depth in structured or multiblock approaches — enough that a customer’s lead analyst treats you as a peer
- Working fluency with CFD solvers and simulation workflows: what a mesh does to a result, and why
- 4+ years in application engineering, technical support, or a customer-facing technical role in CAE or simulation software
- Evidence of leading technical people — formally, or as the senior engineer others followed
- Comfort owning a commercial outcome, not just a technical one
- Excellent written and spoken English, and the patience to work across USA, European and Asia-Pacific time zones
Helpful, not required• Turbomachinery, hypersonics, or external aerodynamics domain experience
- Scripting and automation around meshing and simulation workflows
- Experience in competitive technical evaluations against large CAE vendors
- A record of conference presentation or technical publication
Why this job• Depth over breadth. Meshing is the product here, not a checkbox in a suite. The problems stay hard and compelling.
- Real customers, real stakes. Our software sits inside engineering programmes where the simulation actually decides something.
- Scope you would wait years for elsewhere. A small company means you own the function, not a slice of it and you will see the effect of your decisions in the business within a quarter.
- A published growth path. We have a written engineering ladder with defined levels and how pay follows them, for you and for the team you will lead.
