Duties & Responsibilities
Machine Setup: Load programs, select proper nozzles, and adjust laser focus, gas pressures, and feed rates based on material type and thickness.
Operation: Load and unload raw materials and finished parts safely using overhead cranes, forklifts, or manual lifting.
Blueprint Reading: Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and job orders to determine part specifications and tolerances.
Quality Control: Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and tape measures to ensure dimensional accuracy.
Maintenance: Perform routine preventative maintenance on laser machinery, including cleaning optics, changing nozzles, and clearing scrap.
Documentation: Track production logs, material usage, and report any machinery malfunctions or defects to supervisors
