A Maintenance Head in the auto-component (auto comp) industry directs all plant engineering, machine reliability, and preventive upkeep to ensure zero interruptions in high-speed sheet metal or stamping press lines.

Key Responsibilities

· Press & Heavy Machinery Upkeep: Maintain mechanical, hydraulic, link-drive, and progressive power presses (20T to 1000T+).

· Tooling & Auxiliary Support: Manage pneumatic clutch and brake systems, die cushions, material feeders, and de-coilers.

· Downtime Minimization: Troubleshoot breakdowns rapidly to sustain high Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) required for Just-In-Time (JIT) automotive schedules.

· Maintenance Strategy: Execute rigorous daily, weekly, and monthly preventive and predictive maintenance (PM) checklists.

· Utility & SPM Oversight: Oversee air compressors, spot-welding units, and Special Purpose Machines (SPMs).

· Safety & 5S Enforcement: Lead shop-floor 5S standards, safety guard compliance, and LOTO (Lockout/Tagout)

· Team Leadership: Manage, schedule, and train fitters, electricians, shift engineers, and technicians.

Candidate Profile

· Experience: 6 to 8 years of a plant maintenance experience in an auto-component or sheet metal press shop.

· Education: Diploma or B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

· Core Skills: Solid root-cause analysis (RCA), lean manufacturing knowledge, and team leadership.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
