Role Description The Junior Research Fellow will support ongoing research projects in biological sciences under the guidance of senior researchers and project investigators. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting laboratory experiments, collecting and analyzing data, maintaining accurate records, and assisting in the preparation of research reports and publications. The role also involves adhering to laboratory safety protocols, participating in group meetings, and contributing to the organization of project-related activities.

This is a temporary,



in office role based in Baramati, requiring regular presence in the institute’s facilities for experimental work and collaboration with the project team.

Qualifications
Strong foundational knowledge in biological sciences, such as microbiology, biotechnology, biochemistry, molecular biology, or related disciplines.
Hands-on experience with basic laboratory techniques, including sample preparation, use of scientific instruments, and maintenance of laboratory records.
Ability to collect, organize, and interpret experimental data, with attention to detail and adherence to research protocols.
Effective written and verbal communication skills for documenting methods, preparing reports, and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.
Relevant academic background, typically a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a life science discipline; eligibility as per applicable national fellowship or project guidelines.
Demonstrated ability to follow safety procedures, work ethically, and manage time and tasks in a research environment.
Interest in research, willingness to learn current techniques, and openness to working in an on-site, project-based temporary position.
