Role Description
We are looking for a Cyber Security Software Engineer for a full-time, on-site opportunity based in Morena, Madhya Pradesh, India.
The role is suitable for fresh graduates and early-career technology professionals interested in cybersecurity engineering, secure software development, application security, backend development, network security, cloud security, vulnerability management, security automation, APIs, and enterprise security systems.
The Cyber Security Software Engineer will work closely with software, IT, infrastructure, data, analytics, operations, and other business teams to develop secure applications, strengthen software and system security, automate security processes, identify vulnerabilities, support incident investigation, and improve the overall security of digital platforms and enterprise applications.
The role may involve working with Python, Java, C , JavaScript, secure coding practices, REST APIs, authentication systems, vulnerability scanners, SIEM tools, cloud platforms, Linux and Windows environments, security automation, databases, and application-security technologies depending on project and business requirements.
Qualifications
- B.E. / B.Tech / B.Sc. / BCA / MCA / M.Sc. / M.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, Information Security, Software Engineering, Computer Applications, Electronics, or a related discipline.
- Freshers and experienced candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Candidates with 0–5 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, secure software development, application security, software engineering, security automation, vulnerability management, DevSecOps, backend development, or related technology roles can apply.
- Candidates currently working as Cyber Security Software Engineer, Security Engineer, Application Security Engineer, Cybersecurity Engineer, Software Engineer, Security Analyst, DevSecOps Engineer, Backend Developer, Secure Software Developer, SOC Analyst,
Vulnerability Analyst, or Associate Software Engineer are encouraged to apply.
- Candidates from IT services, SaaS, product companies, technology, consulting, fintech, telecom, e-commerce, manufacturing, logistics, FMCG, or other industries are welcome.
- Basic to good programming knowledge in at least one language such as Python, Java, C , C#, JavaScript, Go, or similar technologies.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, debugging, and secure software-development fundamentals.
- Basic to good understanding of cybersecurity principles, threats, vulnerabilities, risk, attack vectors, and security controls.
- Familiarity with secure coding practices, input validation, authentication, authorization, encryption, session management, and application-security concepts.
- Understanding of OWASP Top 10, common software vulnerabilities, SQL injection, cross-site scripting, CSRF, insecure authentication, broken access control, and API-security risks will be beneficial.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, HTTP/HTTPS, OAuth, JWT, API keys, web services, and secure API integration will be beneficial.
- Exposure to application-security testing, SAST, DAST, dependency scanning, code scanning, or software composition analysis will be an advantage but is not mandatory.
- Familiarity with tools such as Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, Nessus, OpenVAS, Qualys, Nmap, Wireshark, Metasploit, or similar security tools will be beneficial.
- Exposure to security automation using Python, PowerShell, Bash, APIs, scripting, or workflow automation will be considered an advantage.
- Basic understanding of network security concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, VPNs, firewalls, IDS/IPS, ports, protocols, and network segmentation will be beneficial.
- Familiarity with Linux, Windows, command-line tools, system logs, file permissions, processes, and basic system administration will be beneficial.
- Exposure to SIEM platforms such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, IBM QRadar, Elastic Security, LogRhythm, or similar tools will be an advantage but is not mandatory.
- Familiarity with endpoint security, EDR/XDR, antivirus, firewall, vulnerability management, or security-monitoring technologies will be beneficial.
- Exposure to AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, IAM, cloud logging, security groups, secrets management, or cloud-security services will be considered an advantage.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, containers, CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or DevSecOps practices will be beneficial but is not mandatory.
- Exposure to Git, GitHub, version control, code reviews, testing, debugging, and collaborative software-development workflows.
- Basic understanding of database security, SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, access permissions, encryption, and secure data handling will be beneficial.
- Exposure to vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, ethical hacking, incident response, threat hunting, digital forensics, or threat intelligence will be considered an additional advantage but is not mandatory.
- Familiarity with security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CIS Controls, SOC 2, or similar standards will be beneficial.
- Exposure to identity and access management, multi-factor authentication, role-based access control, privileged access management, or identity platforms will be an advantage.
- Familiarity with encryption, hashing, digital certificates, SSL/TLS, key management, or cryptographic fundamentals will be beneficial.
- Certifications such as Security , CEH, ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity, Google Cybersecurity Certificate, AZ-500, SC-200, or similar certifications will be considered an advantage but are not mandatory.
- Good analytical, logical, debugging, investigative, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication, documentation, reporting, and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to understand software and security requirements and translate them into practical secure technology solutions.
- Willingness to work in an on-site environment.
- Internship, cybersecurity project, secure coding project, application-security project, GitHub project, CTF participation, vulnerability-assessment project, security automation project, hackathon, freelance project, or academic cybersecurity project will be considered but is not mandatory.
- Candidates without previous full time cybersecurity or security-software experience can also apply.
- Strong willingness to learn new security technologies, programming languages, attack techniques, cloud-security tools, and modern secure software-engineering practices.
