Role & responsibilities
Maintain and repair tractors, farm vehicles and agricultural equipment.
Carry out regular servicing and preventive maintenance.
Troubleshoot and repair engine, clutch, gearbox, brakes, steering, hydraulic and basic electrical issues.
Maintain farm equipment such as rotavator, tiller, sprayer, brush cutter, water pump and motors.
Attend machine breakdowns and minimize downtime.
Check engine oil, coolant, battery, tyres and lubricants.
Maintain records of repairs, servicing and spare parts.
Maintain tools and equipment safely and properly.
Coordinate with outside workshops/service centres when required.
Follow safety procedures during maintenance and repair work.
Preferred candidate profile
37 years of hands-on experience as a Mechanic / Technician.
Experience in tractor,
automobile or agricultural equipment maintenance preferred.
ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering preferred.
Valuable knowledge of diesel engines, mechanical systems, hydraulics and basic electrical systems.
Should be able to identify and troubleshoot mechanical problems independently.
Experience in farm/agricultural machinery will be an added advantage.
Valid driving licence preferred.
Should be willing to work at a farm location and attend emergency breakdowns.
Practical and responsible approach to handling company vehicles, machinery and tools.
