Role Description This full time, in office Professor of Law position is based at Amity University Kolkata in the Greater Kolkata Area. The professor will deliver engaging lectures, lead seminars, and facilitate case-based discussions across core and specialized areas of law.

Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and updating curricula, designing assessments, supervising dissertations and research projects, and mentoring students in academic and professional development. The role involves conducting independent and cooperative research, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, and contributing to conferences and academic forums. The professor will also participate in departmental governance, accreditation activities, community outreach, and collaborations with legal practitioners and industry partners.

Qualifications
Solid foundational expertise in Law, with the ability to teach and guide across multiple legal disciplines.
Specialized knowledge in Constitutional Law and related public law areas.




Specialized knowledge in Criminal Law and contemporary issues in criminal justice.
Proven Research skills, including publication in reputable journals and participation in academic conferences.
Demonstrated Teaching skills, including curriculum design, student mentoring, and use of creative pedagogical methods.
Recognized academic qualifications such as a Ph.D. or equivalent in Law from a reputed institution.
Prior university-level teaching experience at the senior faculty level, preferably as Professor or Associate Professor.
Ability to integrate practice-based insights into classroom teaching and support industry-oriented legal education. One Degree should be from National Law University
Strong communication, academic writing, and presentation skills, with a commitment to inclusive and ethical education.
Willingness to contribute to departmental administration, accreditation processes, and institutional development.
