Job Responsibilities Source and procure raw materials, consumables, and engineering items as per purchase requirements. Obtain quotations from vendors and negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules. Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely order processing. Coordinate with Production, Stores, and Quality departments for material requirements. Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of materials. Maintain vendor records, purchase history, and documentation. Verify invoices, delivery challans, and purchase-related documents. Monitor inventory levels and initiate purchases to avoid stock shortages. Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and recent suppliers.
Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, and delivery. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly purchase reports for management. Ensure compliance with company purchase policies and procurement procedures. Maintain complete documentation of all purchase records to comply with ISO 9001, AS 9100 Quality Audit.
