The Performance Management Product Specialist candidate will require expertise in the mainframe (z/OS) workplace.
The applicant will be required to perform complex migration activities from competitive performance management/monitoring products to IBMs performance management solutions.
The applicant will be required to provide estimates for migrations from competitive products to the IBM solution.
The position requires a person with excellent communication skills and technical pre-sales experience is a plus.
The candidate must have a robust working knowledge of mainframe (z/OS) Performance Management.
Candidates familiar with CICS, DB2, IMS, WebSphere MQ, Networking (VTAM & TCP/IP), and mainframe Storage subsystems is a plus.
The candidate will be required to investigate and analyze information to draw conclusions regarding migration paths and activities as well as the ability to write and maintain documentation.
The position requires employees to work as a team member with internal employees, project managers, contractors, and customer employees.
Experience with other mainframe performance monitoring products (ASG TMON, BMC MAINVIEW, CA-SYSVIEW) is desired.
Required Skills:
5+ Years mainframe (z/OS) experience and proficient with TSO/ISPF, REXX Programming, and SMP/E
5+ Years Performance Management experience
Excellent communication skills.
Desired Skills:
Experience with migrating other mainframe performance monitoring software to IBM OMEGAMON
Basic z/OS System Programming knowledge/skills
Technical pre-sales experience.
