Role and Responsibilities
Heading General Trade sales strategy and operations and customer management for PAN India and to deliver business plan in line with the growth aspiration of the organization.
Responsible for planning and achieving monthly sales target for geographies within the Area and lead & assist the field force in delivering Secondary numbers.
To plan for network expansion and execute the same through increased retail footprint, and DBR/Channel partner expansion.
Study market and proactively keep track of competition products, pricing, key activities and recent launches through market contact plans for self and team.
Identify & effectively implement key initiatives at area level in the areas of Market Development, Distribution expansion & Sales Operation.
Design and implement key performance metrics for the team for driving business performance and having the analytical approach towards periodic review of team on these leading and lagging indicators.
To work with the Sales team and the HR team on recruiting, building and nurturing a performance-driven Sales team.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
Graduate/Diploma in design/apparel merchandising, MBA-Marketing, NIFT (GMT/FD/Textile D&D;), Pearl academy (IFTP). MBA- Marketing/ Operations/ Finance; NIFT
Preferred competencies
Ability to work cross functional and adapt to SSL culture and values.
Ability to understand and adapt to business sales and profitability nuances in current market.
Ability to understand and adapt to existing and current trends in the market.
Strong hands-on experience in both Contemporary Trade and General Trade.
Experience in Makeup and/or Deodorants/Personal Care preferred.
Proven experience in building Deodorants in GT market is a must.
Proven experience managing multiple territories and teams.
Strong commercial, analytical, negotiation and people-management skills.
