Cuddzy Tales is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Reels Video Editor to join our growing team in Cuddalore.
You will be responsible for transforming raw footage into engaging, high-quality short-form content for Instagram and other digital platforms. The ideal candidate should understand Reels editing, storytelling, pacing, on-screen captions and audience retention .
Responsibilities
Edit Instagram Reels and other short-form videos from raw footage
Create engaging hooks and maintain solid pacing throughout the Reel
• Add clean and visually appealing on-screen captions and text animations
Edit talking-head, product, jewellery, fashion and promotional content
Select and synchronize music, sound effects and dialogue
Add transitions, motion graphics and basic visual effects where required
Perform colour correction and basic colour grading
Create edits that are visually engaging and optimized for social media
Follow creative direction and implement feedback accurately
Organize project files and deliver edits within agreed timelines
Maintain consistency in editing style and quality across multiple projects
Qualifications
• Valuable knowledge of DaVinci Resolve or Adobe Premiere Pro
Strong understanding of Instagram Reels and short-form content
Good sense of storytelling, pacing and visual composition
• Ability to create engaging on-screen captions and text animations
Understanding of music, sound design and beat synchronization
Basic knowledge of motion graphics and VFX is a plus
Valuable attention to detail and willingness to learn
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Freshers with a strong portfolio/showreel are welcome to apply
A portfolio demonstrating previous Reels/short-form editing work is preferred
