Role Description As a Cognitive Designer intern at Thinc., you will help translate cognitive science and learning theory into practical study tools, content, and digital experiences. On a day-to-day basis, you will research relevant literature on cognition and education, summarize insights, and contribute to the design of learning frameworks and resources. You will collaborate with the team to create explicit, accessible explanations and visual or interactive elements that support effective learning.

This is a remote internship role,



offering flexibility to work from your chosen location while participating in virtual meetings, feedback sessions, and iterative design discussions.

Qualifications

- Understanding of cognitive psychology, learning science, or educational theory, with the ability to apply concepts in practical learning tools.
- Skill in structuring information clearly, including experience with content design, instructional design, or creating learning materials.
- Ability to conduct organized research, synthesize findings, and communicate insights in concise, accessible language.
- Comfort with digital collaboration tools and remote work practices, including virtual communication and shared documentation.
- Strong attention to detail, curiosity about how people learn, and motivation to experiment with new approaches to studying and skill-building.
- Relevant academic background in psychology, cognitive science, education, design, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is beneficial.
- Prior experience in user-centered design, UX, or creating student-facing resources is a plus but not required.
