Run pre-set programs and monitor the machining cycle Check dimensions using measuring instruments (vernier, micrometer, height gauge etc.) Perform basic in-process quality checks and report deviations Maintain machine cleanliness and basic upkeep Follow safety procedures on the shop floor Set up job/fixture and align workpiece on the machine table Set tool offsets, work coordinates (G54 etc.), and edit/adjust CNC programs as needed Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds Troubleshoot minor program/tooling issues during production Guide and support operators on the machine Conduct first-piece inspection and approve for production run
