Looking for a Buyer / Planner with strong experience in NPI procurement, material planning, sourcing and supplier coordination. The candidate will work closely with Engineering and cross-functional teams to ensure timely procurement and availability of materials required for NPI and production activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyse Engineering Request Forms (ERFs).
- Coordinate with Engineering on material requirements and need dates.
- Analyse sourcing matrices, specifications and BOM-related requirements.
- Issue RFQs and evaluate sourcing options.
- Create and process Purchase Orders and change orders.
- Support material planning and timely procurement in an NPI environment.
- Identify alternate suppliers/sourcing options when required.
- Coordinate with suppliers, Engineering, QA, Shipping,
Receiving and Accounting.
- Support JIT purchasing and appropriate material consumption levels.
- Monitor cost, schedule and material availability against project requirements.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of relevant Buyer / Planner / Procurement experience.
- Hands-on SAP MM experience.
- Strong NPI procurement experience.
- Experience with RFQs, sourcing and Purchase Orders.
- Good understanding of material planning and supplier coordination.
- Robust Excel/MS Office skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Domain Requirement Candidates must have relevant experience in Manufacturing, Semiconductor, Automotive or Aerospace.
Preferred
- Semiconductor commodity experience.
- Experience working with Engineering teams.
- BOM/material specification exposure.
- Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI).
