About the Role
Sunnet is looking for a hands-on Business Analyst with 2–3 years of experience to support the delivery of software projects. This role is well suited to someone in the early stages of their Business Analysis career who enjoys translating business needs into clear, actionable requirements and working closely with development and QA teams.
You will primarily conduct gap analyses, create and maintain user stories and tasks, document bugs, clarify requirements, and follow up with delivery teams to help keep work progressing smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with stakeholders to understand business needs, current processes, and desired outcomes.
- Conduct gap analysis to identify differences between current and required functionality or processes.
- Translate business requirements into clear user stories, tasks, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation.
- Log and document bugs with sufficient detail for development and QA teams.
- Maintain and refine the product backlog in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Follow up with developers on requirements, open questions, dependencies, and delivery progress.
- Coordinate with the QA team to clarify expected behavior, support test planning, and assist with defect resolution.
- Participate in requirement discussions, backlog-refinement sessions, sprint planning, reviews, and other delivery meetings.
- Help identify requirement gaps, risks, and potential blockers early in the delivery cycle.
- Ensure requirements and work items remain accurate and up to date throughout development and testing.
Required Skills & Experience
- 2-3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within a software or technology environment.
- Practical experience conducting gap analysis and documenting business and functional requirements.
- Strong experience writing user stories, tasks, acceptance criteria, and bug reports.
- Valuable understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile ways of working.
- Experience working closely with developers and QA professionals.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good organizational and follow-up skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple work items and priorities in a delivery-focused environment.
- A collaborative, proactive, and problem-solving mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with process mapping, workflow documentation, and basic wireframing.
- Experience supporting web, mobile, enterprise, or digital-transformation projects.
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline is an advantage.
