About the Role

We are looking for a

US Tax Associate with hands-on experience in preparing

US Individual (Form 1040) and Partnership (Form 1065) tax returns

.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare

US Individual Income Tax Returns (Form 1040)

for various individual taxpayers.
Prepare

US Partnership Tax Returns (Form 1065)

, including related schedules and supporting forms.
Prepare and review supporting schedules such as

Schedule K-1, Schedule C, Schedule E, Schedule D and Schedule B

.
Analyze client-provided financial information, trial balances, workpapers and tax documents.
Perform tax research and identify applicable federal and state tax provisions.
Reconcile book-to-tax differences and make appropriate tax adjustments.
Assist with preparation of federal and state tax returns and related filings.
Review tax returns for completeness, accuracy and compliance with US tax regulations.
Identify missing information, inconsistencies and potential tax issues.
Work with senior team members/managers to resolve complex tax matters.




Communicate effectively with onshore teams regarding tax return queries and open items.
Maintain proper documentation and workpapers in accordance with firm standards.
Ensure timely completion of assigned tax returns and engagements.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in

Accounting, Commerce, Finance or a related field

.
1–4 years of experience in US Taxation

.
Hands-on experience with

Form 1040 and Form 1065

.
Valuable understanding of

US Federal Taxation

.
Knowledge of US tax concepts including:
Individual taxation
Partnership taxation
Income and deductions
Capital gains/losses
K-1 reporting
Depreciation
Itemized deductions
Schedule C/E/D
Experience working with

US tax software such as CCH, GoSystem, UltraTax, ProSeries, Lacerte or similar is preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Valuable written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
Robust attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
