Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Interior Estimator with robust knowledge of interior materials, labour costing and woodwork/joinery costing. The candidate should have hands-on experience specifically in the interior design/interior fit-out industry and be capable of preparing accurate estimates, BOQs and quotations.

Please note: Candidates with primarily Civil Estimation/Civil Construction experience will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed BOQs, cost estimates and quotations for interior projects.
Calculate material, labour and overall project costs based on drawings and specifications.
Prepare accurate costing for woodwork, modular furniture, cabinetry, partitions, ceilings, flooring and other interior works.
Analyse drawings and specifications to determine material and quantity requirements.
Maintain updated knowledge of interior materials, finishes, hardware and market rates.




Obtain and compare quotations from vendors and suppliers.
Coordinate with design, purchase, production and project/site teams for costing requirements.
Review project costs and identify opportunities for cost optimisation.
Maintain proper estimation, quotation and cost-related documentation.

Requirements
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience preferred in Interior Estimation / Interior Fit-outs.
Solid knowledge of interior materials and their costing.
Good knowledge of woodwork/joinery costing is mandatory.
Strong understanding of labour rates and labour costing for interior works.
Experience preparing BOQs, quotations, quantity take-offs and project estimates.
Ability to read and understand interior drawings and specifications.
Positive numerical, analytical and negotiation skills.
Working knowledge of MS Excel and relevant estimation/design tools.
Candidates with only civil construction/civil estimation experience are not suitable for this position.
