Sr. Mgr. Data Engineer

This role forms part of a data management and business intelligence team assigned to one of WPPs major global clients, who will be building and maintaining a global data warehouse, automated reports, and data provisioning applications to ensure that media and marketing stakeholders the world over will have access to the right data and insights to inform their marketing decisions.

As an Senior Manager, Data Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include deploying standardized Adverity data collection templates and DBT data transformation scripts, developing custom data collectors within Adverity and custom SQL data transformation scripts, working within and contributing to the team building the data warehousing solution, adhering to technical standards and best practices, and contributing to the documentation of custom work. You will oversee junior engineers work and development, and collaborate frequently with Data Visualization experts.

Some of the things wed like you to do:




Implement and expand upon WPPs Measure reporting platform to suit the needs of the clients reporting and needs
Deploy data collectors in Adverity to gather data from media, agency system, and other sources
Develop and expand on existing data recipes and transformations in SQL via DBT run on Google Cloud Platform, borrowing and lending scripts from/to a central repository
Development and maintain data quality checks and procedures, helping stakeholders overcome data issues before they impact the quality of the reporting solution
Support the translation of user requirements and business needs into technical specifications
Be a proficient user of Google Cloud Platform and associated technologies, ensuring your work incorporates industry best practice
Monitor automated jobs, troubleshooting data issues as-and-when they arise
Support other members of the team responsible for last mile transformation and visualization of data within Google Data Studio r
