What you will own
Build the target account map: Japanese-owned and Japan-facing companies across NCR, Pune, Chennai and Bengaluru manufacturing, automotive components, IT services, trading houses, shared services and consulting.
Run outreach yourself — cold calls, LinkedIn, referrals, JETRO and JCCII channels, chamber events and industry meets. This is a hunting role, not an inbound one.
Pitch and close recent logos: sign 2 to 3 recent clients per quarter in year one, with signed terms of business in place.
Negotiate commercials — fee percentage, payment terms, replacement guarantee, exclusivity — and protect margin rather than buying the logo on price.
Take the brief properly and push back on unrealistic ones. A mandate you cannot fill costs more than one you declined.
Run delivery on your own accounts with support from the placements team: 3 to 4 closures a month once the desk is settled, with under 10% offer-drop.
Grow single-role clients into repeat accounts. The target is that 60% of year-two revenue comes from clients you signed in year one.




Work the Academy pipeline: our N2 and N1 learners are your candidate supply. Shape what we teach by telling the academic team what clients are actually asking for.
Bring the market back in — salary movement, which employers are hiring, where bilingual supply is tight — and help us price accordingly.
Keep the ATS and pipeline accurate so forecast and billing need no chasing.

Must have
3+ years in recruitment or staffing, with at least 2 years carrying a recent business number you personally owned.
Clients, you signed yourself. Be ready to name them and describe how each was won.
Commercial negotiation experience — fee percentage, terms of business, payment terms — not just relaying what a manager approved.
Full-cycle capability. You can run delivery on your own accounts when you need to.
