*Location:
Bengaluru (on-engaging an Embedded & RF Engineer on a T&M; contract basis to support development, integration, and testing of embedded electronics and RF communication subsystems for CubeSat/small-satellite hardware. Work will be assigned incrementally against sprint-level tasking; billed hours are tracked and invoiced periodically (weekly/bi-weekly, per contract terms).

Some assigned work falls under restricted-access programmes. Full scope, subsystem names, and technical requirements are disclosed only after execution of an NDA and any applicable security/access clearance as part of onboarding.

Key Responsibilities

Develop embedded firmware in C/C++ for microcontroller-based systems

Develop and debug interfaces using UART, SPI, I²C, GPIO and similar embedded peripherals

Perform hardware bring-up, firmware-hardware integration, and bench-level debugging





Support development and integration of RF communication hardware (transceivers, RF front-ends, antenna interfaces) — detailed specifications provided under NDA

Assist with communication protocol implementation and packet-handling software

Conduct RF/communication testing using standard lab equipment (VNA, spectrum analyser, signal generator, oscilloscope, power meter)

Support link-level validation and communication-system test campaigns

Prepare engineering notes/logs per ISPACEI documentation standards and participate in internal design/test reviews

Coordinate with OBC, ADCS, EPS, and Mechanical/Thermal teams on system-level integration issues

Required Skills

2–3 years hands-on embedded systems development experience

Solid Embedded C/C++

Solid understanding of microcontrollers, peripherals, interrupts, RTOS/bare-metal settings

STM32 or equivalent MCU experience preferred

Practical hardware debugging and bring-up experience
