The Service cum Spare Parts In-charge will completely own the post-sales ecosystem of the dealership. This position is responsible for managing the workshop floor to meet service targets, diagnosing customer vehicle issues, and overseeing the procurement, stocking, and billing of genuine OEM spare parts. The primary goals are to maximize customer satisfaction (CSI), minimize vehicle repair time, and maintain zero stock discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities : Service & Workshop Management
Floor Operations: Oversee the daily workflow of mechanics and service technicians, ensuring jobs are completed efficiently and according to OEM standard operating procedures.
Job Card Creation & Diagnosis: Greet customers, listen to vehicle complaints, accurately diagnose mechanical or electrical issues, and open formal job cards.
Quality Control: Inspect vehicles post-service to guarantee all customer complaints have been resolved before final delivery.
Customer Satisfaction: Address customer queries, handle complaints regarding repair quality,
and explain service bills clearly to ensure repeat business.
Spare Parts & Inventory Management
Stock Accuracy: Maintain perfect alignment between physical warehouse stock and the digital Dealership Management System (DMS) or Tally.
Procurement: Utilize electronic parts catalogs to order exact parts and lubricants directly from the manufacturer or main distributor.
Workshop Supply: Ensure mechanics receive parts instantly to minimize vehicle idle time on the service bays.
Counter & Retail Sales: Handle over-the-counter sales to walk-in retail customers and local independent garages looking for genuine parts.
Warranty & Returns: Manage the process of tagging, documenting, and returning defective parts to the OEM for warranty claims.
Administration & Performance Tracking
Revenue Targets: Drive both labor revenue (service charges) and parts/lubricant sales to hit monthly workshop profitability targets.
