Role Description
This full time on-site teaching faculty role is based at the Institute of Design IOD campus in Chennai. The faculty member will teach courses in Fashion Design, Interior Design (Architecture), Visual/Graphics Design, and/or UI/UX Design, depending on expertise. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and delivering lectures, studio sessions, and workshops; guiding learners through projects and critiques; developing and updating course materials; and assessing assignments and examinations.



The role also involves mentoring learners on portfolios, industry readiness, and design ethics, participating in curriculum development, collaborating with colleagues on academic initiatives, and contributing to exhibitions, reviews, and institutional events.

Qualifications
Robust expertise in one or more areas: Fashion Design, Interior/Architectural Design, Visual/Graphics Design, or UI/UX Design.
Proficiency with relevant design tools and software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, CAD tools, Figma, Sketch or similar).
Demonstrated ability to develop lesson plans, create engaging course materials, and facilitate studio-based learning.
Experience guiding project work, portfolio development, and design research with a learner-centered approach.
Excellent communication, presentation, and classroom management skills, with a team-oriented and inclusive teaching style.
