Finance Assistant / Accounts Assistant

Role Description
We are seeking an accurate, dependable, and organized Finance Assistant / Accounts Assistant to support daily accounting transactions, assist with financial recordkeeping, and ensure smooth corporate finance operations. In this entry-level role, you will work closely with Senior Accountants, Accounts Payable/Receivable Executives, and Department Leads to process financial documentation accurately and on schedule. You will be responsible for handling supplier invoice entries, preparing sales billings, performing daily bank reconciliations, and filing financial documents. Responsibilities include auditing employee expense claims and petty cash disbursements against internal policies, assisting with month-end ledger adjustments, updating fixed asset tracking schedules, and pulling documentation for audit reviews. Success in this position requires a solid grasp of double-entry bookkeeping, sharp numerical precision, practical proficiency in spreadsheet tools and accounting systems,



and a high level of discretion when dealing with confidential financial data.

Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; foundational coursework or progress toward accounting credentials (e.g., AAT, LCCI, or ACCA foundation) is an advantage.
Core Bookkeeping Foundations:
Practical understanding of basic accounting principles, double-entry bookkeeping, general ledger structures, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and journal entries.
Data & Invoice Processing:
High precision and efficiency in keying in vendor invoices, issuing customer debit/credit notes, matching purchase orders, and tracking payment due dates.
Reconciliations & Cash Control:
Capability to execute routine bank reconciliations, monitor petty cash transactions, and cross-check credit card statements.
Accounting Software Exposure:
