Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Forming Supervisor to manage day-to-day forming and production activities in our hardware manufacturing unit. The candidate should have robust technical knowledge of sheet metal forming operations, hands-on experience in production processes, and the ability to ensure productivity, quality, and timely completion of production targets. The candidate must have positive knowledge of engineering drawing reading, component dimensions, and forming processes, along with the ability to prepare manual drawings/sketches of components based on measurements and production requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Plan, monitor, and control daily forming and production activities to achieve production targets.
Supervise forming operators and production staff to ensure smooth workflow and optimum productivity.
Manage sheet metal forming, pressing, bending, and related manufacturing operations.
Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, tools, dies, and materials.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, component drawings, process sheets, and specifications.
Understand component dimensions, tolerances, material specifications, and forming requirements.
Prepare manual drawings/sketches of components with accurate dimensions based on physical components,



measurements, or production requirements.
Ensure components are produced as per approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Monitor machine and process performance and take corrective actions to improve productivity.
Inspect components using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and other relevant measuring tools.
Identify and reduce rejection, rework, material wastage, and process-related defects.
Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Stores, and Production departments for uninterrupted operations.
Ensure proper availability and issuance of raw materials, dies, tools, and other production requirements.
Prepare daily production reports, manpower reports, rejection reports, and shift handover records.
Train and guide operators on forming processes, machine operation, quality requirements, and safety practices.
Monitor production efficiency, machine utilization, and achievement of daily output targets.
Ensure proper implementation of 5S, safety, and shop-floor discipline.
Troubleshoot forming-related production issues and implement corrective actions in coordination with relevant departments.
