About the Opportunity

micro1 is seeking highly skilled Coding Puzzle Solvers to contribute to projects involving algorithmic problem-solving, debugging, software reasoning, and technical challenge evaluation.

This role is ideal for professionals with strong programming skills who enjoy solving complex coding problems, analyzing edge cases, optimizing solutions, and working through challenging technical scenarios.

You'll apply your expertise in algorithms, data structures, software development, and debugging to solve technical challenges, evaluate solutions, and contribute high-quality problem-solving insights.

Key Responsibilities

- Solve coding, debugging, and algorithmic reasoning challenges.
- Analyze complex technical problems and develop efficient solutions.
- Select appropriate algorithms and data structures based on problem requirements.
- Work within terminal-based environments and existing codebases.
- Implement, test, and validate software solutions.
- Identify edge cases, hidden assumptions, and constraint violations.
- Debug issues involving code logic, dependencies, configurations, and runtime behavior.
- Develop verification methods and test cases to ensure solution correctness.
- Review generated solutions and identify errors, inefficiencies, or incomplete reasoning.
- Document implementation decisions, reasoning processes, and technical trade-offs.

Required Qualifications

1. Solid algorithmic and analytical problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, C++, Java, Rust, Go, C#, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
3. Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and computational complexity.
4. Ability to reason carefully about constraints, correctness, performance, and edge cases.
5. Experience debugging unfamiliar codebases and solving ambiguous technical problems.
6. Comfortable working in terminal-based development environments.
7. Ability to create reproducible, testable, and maintainable solutions.
8. Solid written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Competitive programming experience.
- Active or verifiable Codeforces, LeetCode, AtCoder, HackerRank, or similar profiles.
- Experience solving advanced algorithmic and systems-design problems.
- Familiarity with software testing, validation, and automated evaluation workflows.
- Experience reviewing code and providing technical feedback.
- Ability to work independently on challenging technical assignments.
