Role Description The Repair Engineer will be responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, and repair of electronic and mechanical equipment, ensuring reliability and adherence to Baker Hughes quality standards. Day-to-day tasks include performing detailed troubleshooting, executing maintenance and repair activities, documenting repair processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues. The role also involves reading and interpreting technical drawings and manuals, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining compliance with safety and environmental procedures.
This is a full-time, on-site position located in Andhra Pradesh, India, requiring regular interaction with workshop, engineering, and operations personnel.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Electronics Repair and Soldering skills for component-level diagnostics and corrective actions.
- Candidates should possess Maintenance & Repair capabilities with hands-on experience servicing industrial or energy-related equipment.
- Candidates should possess advanced Troubleshooting skills for identifying root causes and implementing effective technical solutions.
- Candidates should possess solid Communication skills for clear reporting, documentation, and collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant technical diploma or bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Instrumentation engineering is preferred.
- Experience in energy, oilfield services, or industrial equipment environments is an advantage.
- Ability to follow safety procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements in a workshop or plant setting.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and willingness to learn current technologies and repair methods.
