Job title: Quality Control Executive

We are looking for a detail-oriented Quality Control Executive to ensure every hair accessory and beauty product we ship meets our standards for appearance, functionality, safety, packaging, and customer expectations. Youll work closely with vendors, sourcing, product/category, warehouse, customer service, and operations to catch quality issues early, keep defective products from reaching customers, and drive continuous improvement across our supply chain.

Responsibilities

- Inspect incoming products against approved samples and specifications, running batch/lot-level sampling checks on dimensions, colour, finish, material, strength, and overall appearance; maintain batch-wise inspection and rejection records.
- Evaluate hair accessories (clips, claws, scrunchies, bands, headbands, pins, bows) for strength and durability of clips/springs/hinges, breakage, sharp edges, finishing defects, colour and print consistency, and comfort/fit.
- Check beauty products against specifications and approved samples, including packaging, labelling, seals, leakage, colour/texture, and required batch/MRP/expiry details; coordinate vendor/lab testing and escalate safety or regulatory concerns immediately.
- Inspect packaging for damage, printing defects, and artwork compliance; verify product/accessory combinations, quantities, inserts, and conduct drop/handling checks where required.
- Partner with vendors to identify root causes of recurring quality issues, share QC reports and corrective actions, track vendor rejection rates, and participate in vendor audits and process improvement initiatives.
- Analyse customer complaints, returns, and reviews to identify recurring defects by SKU,



vendor, batch, or category; work with Customer Service and Operations to investigate and recommend corrective/preventive actions.
- Support Current Product Development by building quality specifications and inspection checklists, comparing production samples against approved master samples, and participating in pre-production and pre-dispatch checks.
- Maintain QC checklists, inspection reports, rejection records, and SKU-wise quality specifications; prepare weekly/monthly quality dashboards and track KPIs for management.

Candidate requirements

- Mandatory: prior experience in a quick-commerce organisation (e.g., Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart, BigBasket, or equivalent).
- Prior experience in quality control/quality assurance, ideally within hair accessories, beauty/personal care, or FMCG manufacturing.
- Strong eye for detail across appearance, material, and finish defects; comfortable with hands-on physical inspection.
- Working knowledge of packaging and labelling compliance (batch/MRP/expiry, artwork verification).
- Comfortable engaging directly with vendors on corrective actions and audits.
- Proficient in Excel/reporting tools for maintaining inspection records and quality dashboards.
- Desirable: exposure to lab coordination/testing processes for beauty products, and experience supporting NPD sample approvals.

Qualifications

- Bachelor s degree in Science, Textile, Engineering, or a related field (Diploma in Quality Management also considered).
- 2-5 years of relevant QC/QA experience.
