Role & responsibilities
Supervise on-site installation, testing, and commissioning of fire detection and suppression systems (fire alarm, sprinkler, water mist, gaseous/clean agent, CO, foam) across project sites nationwide, ensuring work is executed per approved drawings. Coordinate daily with site contractors, electrical/mechanical subcontractors, and client-side project and EHS teams to sequence work, resolve field snags, and keep installation progress aligned with the project schedule. Conduct quality checks at each stage cable routing and termination, device mounting, piping and hydrostatic testing, panel wiring and maintain daily progress reports, material reconciliation records, and site inspection checklists. Carry out pre-commissioning checks, functional testing, and final commissioning of fire alarm control panels, detectors, notification devices, suppression release panels, and interfaces . Prepare and support testing protocols, punch lists, and documentation for client walkthroughs, third-party inspections and handover. Liaise with the design and engineering team on site deviations, drawing clarifications, and as-built documentation. Ensure adherence to site safety (PPE, permit-to-work, hazardous area precautions) and maintain accountability for tools, test instruments, and consumables issued for the site.
Travel to project sites across India for durations ranging from a few days to several weeks depending on project phase, and provide periodic status updates to the Technical Director/project management office.
