About the Job

We are looking for an experienced BIM MEP Coordinator to lead the creation, coordination, and delivery of accurate Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electrical (MEP) Building Information Models from drawings, CAD data, and 3D Point Cloud (LiDAR) data.

The role involves working with Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and point-cloud data to develop, coordinate, and verify MEP models against design documents and existing-condition scan data. The Coordinator will support CAD-to-BIM and scan-to-BIM workflows, resolve coordination issues, and prepare project deliverables in accordance with client requirements and established BIM standards.

The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical engineering background, practical MEP coordination experience, excellent BIM and CAD-to-BIM capability, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment.

What We Look For

We are looking for a technically strong, detail-oriented, and accountable MEP qualified who can translate mechanical, plumbing, and electrical design information, CAD drawings, and point-cloud data into accurate BIM models. The BIM MEP Coordinator should lead discipline coordination, identify clashes and deviations, guide model quality reviews, and work collaboratively with project teams to deliver high-quality outputs within the required timeframe.

BIM MEP Coordinator - Responsibilities

This is what you would do -

- Lead the coordination of Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electrical (MEP) BIM models with architectural, structural, and other discipline models.
- Create, develop, and maintain accurate 3D MEP BIM models in Autodesk Revit from CAD drawings, design documents, point-cloud data, and other available project inputs.
- Manage CAD-to-BIM conversion workflows, ensuring accurate interpretation of 2D drawings, specifications, and engineering information.
- Align point-cloud (scan) data with Revit models to establish a common coordinate system for scan-to-BIM modelling and verification.
- Review MEP elements against aligned point-cloud data to identify matched, unmatched, and deviated existing-condition elements.
- Use Navisworks and Revit to perform clash detection, coordination reviews, and issue tracking; support the resolution of MEP coordination conflicts.
- Ensure models are developed to the required Level of Development (LOD), Level of Detail, project BIM Execution Plan,



and client standards.
- Conduct regular model QA/QC checks for geometry, system connectivity, clearances, parameters, naming conventions, and coordination accuracy.
- Maintain MEP model organization, worksets, views, families, shared parameters, and project standards.
- Generate coordinated drawings, views, schedules, sheets, clash reports, and deviation documentation from Revit and Navisworks models.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, site teams, and internal production teams to resolve technical and constructability issues.
- Review work completed by BIM modellers and provide technical guidance, feedback, and support for MEP modelling and coordination.
- Communicate project requirements, coordination risks, technical issues, and modelling challenges to the Team Leader and project stakeholders.
- Manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks to meet project schedules, coordination milestones, and deliverable deadlines.
- Ensure BIM/CAD standards and MEP coordination procedures are consistently applied across assigned projects.
- Maintain the required level of quality, accuracy, and productivity within agreed project timelines.
- Continuously improve MEP BIM, CAD-to-BIM, and scan-to-BIM workflows and adopt efficient modelling and coordination practices.

This is you -

- 8-10 years of experience in BIM modelling and coordination, including substantial hands-on experience in MEP projects.
- Strong Mechanical Engineering background with practical experience coordinating mechanical, plumbing, and electrical building systems.
- Advanced working knowledge of Autodesk Revit MEP and AutoCAD, including MEP modelling, documentation, and coordination workflows.
- Proven experience in CAD-to-BIM conversion and developing coordinated MEP models from 2D design drawings and engineering documents.
- Hands-on experience using Point Cloud/LiDAR data for scan-to-BIM modelling, existing-condition verification, and MEP coordination.
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems, including HVAC, ductwork, piping, plumbing, drainage, electrical containment, and building-services coordination.




- Experience with Navisworks Manage for clash detection, issue review, model federation, and coordination reporting.
- Ability to interpret mechanical, plumbing, electrical, architectural, structural, and engineering drawings, specifications, and project information.
- Strong understanding of BIM standards, LOD requirements, BIM Execution Plans, model QA/QC, and coordination processes.
- Ability to identify clashes, constructability concerns, deviations, missing information, and modelling inconsistencies, and drive their resolution.
- Experience reviewing MEP BIM models for quality, completeness, system coordination, and compliance with project standards.
- Familiarity with current BIM, CAD-to-BIM, scan-to-BIM, and point-cloud processing technologies and workflows.
- Strong knowledge of Revit MEP families, parameters, view templates, worksets, linked models, and model organization.
- Ability to lead assigned coordination tasks independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to model accuracy, coordination quality, and timely delivery.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical coordination issues clearly.
- Ability to manage priorities and multiple deliverables while working to project deadlines.
- Good understanding of construction methods, MEP installation practices, sequencing, and site coordination.
- Ability to create and review coordinated plans, sections, elevations, details, schedules, and sheets to professional project standards.
