Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced IIS DataStage Developer with 5–12 years of experience in designing, developing, maintaining, and optimizing ETL pipelines for data integration and data warehousing solutions.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with IBM InfoSphere Information Server (IIS) DataStage, data integration, complex data transformations, and relational databases.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and implement ETL workflows using IIS DataStage.
- Build and maintain scalable and reliable ETL pipelines for data integration and warehousing.
- Analyze source systems and translate business requirements into target data architectures.
- Develop complex data transformations and mappings for large datasets.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather and analyze requirements.
- Prepare and review high-level and low-level mapping specifications.
- Support ETL developers by providing technical guidance and resolving development issues.
- Participate in requirement analysis, system testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Identify data discrepancies, variances, and data-quality issues.
- Troubleshoot ETL job failures and data integration issues.
- Optimize DataStage jobs and ETL processes for performance, scalability, and accuracy.
- Maintain technical documentation covering ETL workflows, data mappings, configurations,



and processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Skills

- 5–12 years of experience in ETL/Data Integration.
- Strong hands-on experience with IBM IIS DataStage.
- Extensive experience in developing and maintaining DataStage ETL pipelines.
- Strong understanding of ETL concepts and data integration best practices.
- Experience working with large datasets and complex data transformations.
- Good understanding of Data Warehousing concepts.
- Strong knowledge of RDBMS and SQL.
- Experience analyzing source systems and mapping data to target systems.
- Experience with ETL troubleshooting and performance tuning.
- Good understanding of data validation and reconciliation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Good to Have

- Experience with DataStage Parallel Jobs and Sequence Jobs.
- Knowledge of DataStage stages such as Transformer, Lookup, Join, Merge, Sort, Aggregator, and Funnel.
- Experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting.
- Knowledge of scheduling and production support processes.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
- Exposure to enterprise data warehouse projects.
