Job Summary

Are you a QA expert who enjoys ensuring data accuracy and platform reliability in complex financial data ecosystems?

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to lead quality assurance for a Master Data Management platform serving Security Master, Entity Master, and Reference Data for a leading global credit ratings organization. You will design and execute comprehensive test strategies across API, data, UI, and integration layers ensuring data accuracy, workflow correctness, and platform stability in an Agile delivery setting.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and own the end-to-end test strategy for the MDM platform covering functional, data quality, API, integration, regression, and performance testing.
- Build automated test suites for FastAPI endpoints using Python (pytest, requests, httpx) validating response correctness, authentication, and edge cases.
- Develop data validation frameworks to verify golden record accuracy, survivorship logic, and match-merge outcomes for Security and Entity Master records.
- Write SQL-based data validation scripts against PostgreSQL/Oracle to verify data integrity, completeness, and consistency across source and target.
- Validate financial data quality: ISIN/CUSIP/LEI identifier accuracy, classification codes, corporate action processing, and rating linkage.
- Perform API testing using Postman or equivalent tools; validate OpenAPI/Swagger contract compliance.
- Test React UI workflows for data stewardship screens: search, review, approve/reject, and golden record visualization.
- Build and maintain CI/CD-integrated automated regression test pipelines using GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
- Design and execute performance and load tests to validate API response times and data processing throughput under financial data volumes.




- Collaborate with the Security Master SME to develop domain-specific test cases reflecting real-world securities data scenarios.
- Log, triage, and track defects; work closely with developers to resolve issues and validate fixes.
- Maintain test documentation: test plans, test cases, traceability matrices, and QA reports for stakeholder review.
- Participate in sprint planning, definition of done, and retrospectives as the QA representative.

Education & Experience

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 8–12 years of QA experience with at least 4 years focused on data or API testing in financial services.
- Strong hands-on experience with Python-based test automation (pytest, requests, Faker).
- Proficiency in SQL for data validation using PostgreSQL and/or Oracle.
- Experience testing RESTful APIs (FastAPI/Flask/Spring Boot); Postman, Newman, or similar tools.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD-integrated test pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Familiarity with performance testing tools: Locust, JMeter, or k6.
- Exposure to MDM, Reference Data, or financial data quality testing strongly preferred.
- Experience with AWS environments (RDS, S3, CloudWatch) for log analysis and test environment management.

- Data-centric testing mindset: ability to define data quality dimensions (accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness) and build test cases around them.
- Financial domain awareness: understanding of securities identifiers, entity data, and reference data structures.
- Automation-first approach: ability to build reusable, maintainable test frameworks rather than one-off scripts.
- Analytical thinking: ability to trace data issues back to source systems, transformation logic, or survivorship rules.
- Clear communication: effective at writing test reports and conveying quality status to project stakeholders.
