About the Role
We are looking for an HR Executive/Team Lead to own and manage the Employee Relations (ER) function
within the organization. This role is responsible for maintaining ER data and case records, conducting basic
workplace investigations, and preparing disciplinary documentation in line with company policy and applicable
labour laws. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, discreet, and comfortable handling sensitive employee
matters with fairness and objectivity.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations (ER) Data Management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all ER cases, complaints, and disciplinary actions in the HRMS/tracker.
- Generate periodic ER dashboards and reports (case status, trends, TAT, closure rates) for management review.
- Ensure documentation is complete, well-organized, and audit-ready.
Basic Workplace Investigations
- Support/conduct preliminary investigations into employee grievances, misconduct allegations, and interpersonal
conflicts.
- Gather facts, conduct interviews with concerned parties and witnesses, and document findings objectively.
- Escalate complex or sensitive cases to senior HR/leadership as required.
- Ensure investigations are conducted in a timely, fair, and confidential manner, adhering to natural justice principles.
Disciplinary Documentation
- Draft and issue various disciplinary communications, including:
- Show cause notices
- Warning letters (verbal/written)
- Suspension letters
- Termination/dismissal letters
- Coordinate with managers and legal/compliance teams to ensure letters are accurate, policy-compliant,
and legally
sound.
- Track disciplinary case timelines and ensure closure within defined TATs.
Policy & Compliance Support
- Support implementation and awareness of HR policies and the Code of Conduct across the organization.
- Stay updated on relevant labour law requirements impacting ER practices.
Stakeholder Management
- Partner with business managers and employees to address concerns promptly and professionally.
- Act as a point of contact for employees raising ER-related concerns, ensuring confidentiality and empathy.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in HR/Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 03 years of experience in HR, with exposure to Employee Relations, HR Operations, or HR Generalist roles
(freshers with a strong interest in ER may also be considered).
- Strong written communication skills — ability to draft formal letters and reports with precision.
- Basic understanding of labour laws and disciplinary processes (training will be provided).
- High level of integrity, discretion, and emotional intelligence when handling sensitive matters.
- Proficiency in MS Excel/Google Sheets for data management and reporting; familiarity with HRMS tools is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
