Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Embedded DSP/MCU Expert Design Engineer to develop advanced embedded software and real-time control solutions for Hybrid Inverters, Power Conversion Systems (PCS), and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
The candidate will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, testing, debugging, and optimization of real-time control algorithms on DSP and MCU platforms used in grid-tied, off-grid, and hybrid power conversion systems.
The role requires strong expertise in power electronics control, embedded firmware development, digital signal processing, battery integration, grid synchronization, communication protocols, and real-time embedded systems
.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop embedded firmware for Hybrid Inverters, PCS, BESS, Solar Inverters, UPS, and related power conversion systems.
- Implement real-time control algorithms on DSP and MCU platforms.
- Develop scalable and maintainable embedded software architectures.
- Optimize code execution, memory utilization, processing performance, and real-time response.
- Develop and validate control algorithms for:
- DC-DC converters
- Bidirectional converters
- DC-AC inverters
- Active Front End (AFE)
- Grid-tied and islanding operation
- Current, voltage, and power control loops
- PLL and grid synchronization
- Droop control
- MPPT for solar integration
- Develop embedded software using Embedded C/C++.
- Configure and control peripherals including PWM, ADC, DAC, DMA, Timers, and Interrupts.
- Interface embedded controllers with Battery Management Systems (BMS).
- Develop battery charging and discharging control strategies.
- Implement SoC, SoH, power management, and energy optimization functions.
- Support lithium-ion battery technologies and battery protection mechanisms.
- Develop and integrate communication interfaces including:
- CAN / CAN-FD
- Modbus RTU/TCP
- RS485
- Ethernet
- UART
- SPI
- I2C
- Integrate EMS, SCADA, and cloud-based monitoring systems.
- Work on Embedded Linux and cybersecurity aspects where required.
DSP / MCU Platforms
Hands-on experience with one or more of the following platforms:
- TI C2000: F2837x, F28004x, F28003x
- TI Sitara
- STM32
- NXP MCU
- Microchip dsPIC
- Infineon AURIX / XMC
Testing, Validation & Debugging
- Conduct hardware bring-up and firmware validation.
- Perform system-level debugging and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with testing and debugging instruments such as:
- Oscilloscope
- Data Logger
- Logic Analyzer
- JTAG/MCU Debugger
- Power Supply
- Variac
- Multimeter
- Power Analyzer
- Dyno
- Torque Sensor
- Execute SIL, PIL, and HIL testing.
- Support EMC/EMI testing and product certification activities.
- Validate real-time control performance under different operating conditions.

- B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech in:

- 512 years of experience in embedded software development for power electronics products.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in one or more of:
- Hybrid Inverter
- Solar Inverter
- PCS

- BESS
- Strong programming skills in Embedded C/C++.
- Expert-level knowledge of DSP and MCU programming.
- Mandatory hands-on experience with TI C2000 family.
- Solid understanding of real-time control systems.
- Experience in digital control of power converters.
- Hands-on experience with PWM generation and high-speed ADC sampling.
- Strong knowledge of interrupt-driven embedded system design.
- Experience with grid-connected inverter control.
- Experience in battery charging/discharging algorithms.
- Strong knowledge of CAN, Modbus and RS485 communication.
