We are seeking a skilled and experienced AWS Migration Specialist to plan and execute cloud migration projects, moving legacy and cross-cloud workloads to AWS using MGN, AWS Transform, DMS, and SCT.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience executing cloud migrations using AWS MGN (agentic and self-directed rehost), DMS (with AI-assisted schema conversion), and SCT, with robust skills in application refactoring and API integration testing.

Key Responsibilities

- Design target-state architectures for legacy and cross-cloud application migrations.
- Execute application migrations using AWS MGN with both agentic rehost (AI-driven automation) and self-directed rehost approaches.
- Leverage AWS Transform for end-to-end migration workflow orchestration including discovery, wave planning, and network migration.
- Refactor applications for cloud compatibility and AWS-native patterns.
- Execute database schema migrations using AWS DMS with AI-assisted schema conversion (achieving up to 90% automated conversion) and SCT for heterogeneous migrations.
- Conduct API integration testing and validation post-migration.
- Develop migration runbooks, rollback plans, and cutover strategies.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code for migrated workloads (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK).
- Provide technical guidance to associates on migration best practices.
- Collaborate with architecture and operations teams for migration readiness.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.




- 5+ years of experience in software engineering or cloud infrastructure.
- 3+ years of hands-on AWS experience in migration or transformation.
- Strong proficiency in cloud migration strategies and execution (rehost, replatform, refactor).
- Hands-on experience with AWS MGN (agentic and self-directed rehost), DMS (AI-assisted schema conversion), SCT, and Migration Hub.
- Experience migrating from diverse source platforms (physical, VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, other clouds).
- Experience with application refactoring for cloud-native compatibility.
- Strong database skills including schema migration across heterogeneous platforms (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
- Experience with API integration testing and post-migration validation.
- Backend development skills with Java, Python, Node.js, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK).
- Strong communication skills and ability to articulate technical decisions.
- Knowledge of Agile Methodology and Practices.

Nice to Have

- AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Migration Specialty certification.
- Experience with AI tools in development lifecycles (GitHub CoPilot, Cursor, Amazon Q Developer).
- Cross-cloud migration experience (Azure to AWS, GCP to AWS).
- DevOps experience (CI/CD pipelines using CodePipeline, GitHub Actions).
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, ECS/EKS, Fargate).
- Experience with AWS Application Discovery Service for portfolio assessment.
