Roles and Responsibilities :

- Key Responsibilities:

- Handle end-to-end procurement of Bought Out (BO) mechanical components such as:
- Gearboxes
- Bearings
- Couplings
- Motors and other mechanical components
- Manage procurement of raw materials, including:
- Steel Plates
- Alloy Steel
- Forgings
- Castings
- Round Bars and other engineering materials

- Identify and develop new suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and technical capability.
- Conduct RFQ, quotation comparison, commercial negotiation, and order finalization.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions with suppliers.
- Monitor market trends and maintain market awareness of raw material prices and availability.
- Develop and maintain a strong supplier sourcing network.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Quality, Stores, and other departments to ensure timely material availability.
- Follow up with suppliers for on-time delivery and resolve supply-related issues.
- Handle basic import procurement activities, including coordination with suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain procurement data, purchase orders, supplier information, and material-related records in SAP.
- Support cost-reduction initiatives, alternate sourcing, supplier development, and procurement improvement projects.
- Ensure procurement activities are aligned with company quality standards,



specifications, and delivery requirements.

Required Skills:

- 3–5 years of relevant experience in mechanical procurement in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical components and engineering raw materials.
- Experience in sourcing gearboxes, bearings, forgings, castings, alloy steel, plates, etc.
- Basic knowledge of import procurement and international suppliers.
- Basic SAP knowledge, preferably SAP MM.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong supplier sourcing and networking ability.
- Good understanding of market prices, supplier capabilities, and material availability.
- Proactive approach with strong follow-up and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Positive analytical and decision-making skills.

Manage raw material procurement process from sourcing to delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective supply chain management.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to negotiate prices, quality standards, and lead times for raw materials.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and select the most suitable ones for purchasing purposes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of procurement processes into overall business operations.
