Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with strong expertise in Playwright, JavaScript, and Test Automation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automation frameworks, ensuring high-quality software delivery through robust test automation and continuous integration practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright and JavaScript.
- Build and enhance automation frameworks for Web UI testing.
- Analyze business and technical requirements and create comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
- Execute functional, regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate closely with Developers, Product Owners, and QA teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
- Identify, log, track, and verify defects.
- Participate in code reviews and promote automation best practices.
- Generate and maintain test execution reports and quality metrics.
- Continuously improve test coverage, execution efficiency, and framework stability.

Required Skills -

Technical Skills

- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright Automation Testing.
- Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+).
- Experience in designing and maintaining automation frameworks.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and QA processes.
- Experience with API testing and validation.




- Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Familiarity with test reporting tools and debugging techniques.

SDET Competencies

- Strong programming and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
- Ability to design reusable and maintainable automation solutions.
- Experience in test strategy and quality engineering practices.
- Robust analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with REST API automation.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
- Experience with performance and security testing tools.
- Knowledge of Docker and containerized testing environments.
- Familiarity with SQL and database validation testing.

Educational Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.

Nice to Have

- Playwright Test Runner expertise.
- Cross-browser and cross-platform testing experience.
- Experience in BDD frameworks (Cucumber).
- Knowledge of TypeScript.
- ISTQB certification.
