Job Description for Engineer/Senior Engineer Quality Assurance

Reporting to Sr. Manager, QA

Education: BE, Electrical or Mechanical

Experience: 5-15 years

In this position you will be responsible for

- Managing and controlling quality function.
- Knowledge of Transformer testing is added qualification.
- 03 Years experience in Power Transformer industry in Quality Department.
- Process Audit and quality evaluation at Manufacturers works
- Inspection of all Electricals and Mechanical parts and items required to Transformers and its components. Like Copper products (CTC/PICC/CABLES, BUSBARS), Core Steel, Insulation products, Transformer tanks, Gaskets, Air cells, High voltage bushing, Radiators and all other accessories.
- Conducting Risk Assessment at Vendors place.
- Vendor development, training, improvement, and control.




- Understanding customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes.
- Analyze and control the non-conforming product and implementing current system and method to prevent NC.
- Analysis of CAPA / 8D report
- Capable of identifying the Non-conformance and propose the solutions for improvement
- Knowledge of Integrated Management Systems (QMS, EMS, OHSAS), safety requirements and 5S methods.
- Knowledge of American Standard IEEE standards, CBIP and IEEMA for Raw materials and processes
- Fabrication Inspection - Knowledge of Non-Destructive Methods for DP, MPT, RT, UT as per ASNT-SNT-TC-1A; ASTM E709; ASTM E 164; ASTM E165; ASTM E515.
- Willing to Travel extensively.
