Role Description: The Operations Manager role is a full-time, on-site position within the Flexible Packaging Division based in Indore. The Operations Manager will oversee day-to-day operational activities, ensuring efficient processes across projects and business units, and aligning operations with organisational goals. Responsibilities include monitoring performance metrics, optimising workflows, coordinating cross-functional teams, and supporting resource planning, budgeting, and vendor management.

Role Objective:

The Operations Manager will be the central coordination point between customers, sales, production, planning, quality, stores and dispatch.

The primary responsibility is to ensure that every customer order moves smoothly from pre-sales coordination through production and final delivery, with complete visibility and timely action at every stage.

The person will be responsible for:

1. Converting customer requirements into clear internal action items.
2. Coordinating Sales and Production to ensure commitments are realistic and achievable.
3. Maintaining complete order visibility through the ERP.
4. Ensuring production is planned and executed as per customer commitments.
5. Identifying delays and bottlenecks before they affect delivery.
6. Keeping customers proactively informed about order status.
7.



Ensuring OTIF (On-Time In-Full) delivery.
8. Driving customer satisfaction through speed, accuracy and proactive communication.

The role owns the coordination and movement of the order - not merely the reporting of its status.

Qualifications

- Strong operational management skills, including process optimisation, workflow planning, and performance monitoring.
- Experience in project coordination and cross-functional collaboration, preferably within manufacturing, infrastructure, or related industries.
- Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and use of productivity or ERP tools to support decision-making.
- Solid understanding of budgeting, resource allocation, and vendor or contractor management.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams.
- Ability to identify operational risks, implement controls, and ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field; a master's degree or MBA is an advantage.
- Proven experience in an operations or similar management role, preferably in a multi-industry or large-scale business environment.
- High level of organisation, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Willingness to work in office in Indore and collaborate closely with teams across different locations as needed.
