Job Description: Embedded Systems / Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) Simulation & Testing

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Embedded Systems Engineer - Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) Simulation & Testing professional with 5 to 10 years of experience in embedded software validation, HIL testing, test automation, and system integration. The candidate will be responsible for developing, executing, and automating HIL test cases for embedded control systems while ensuring product quality, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) simulation environments for embedded systems validation.
- Create, execute, and automate test cases for ECU/embedded software verification and validation.
- Develop test scripts using Python, CAPL, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar tools.
- Perform system, integration, regression, and functional testing.
- Configure and troubleshoot HIL platforms such as dSPACE, Vector VT System, NI PXI, ETAS, or OPAL-RT.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with development teams for issue resolution.




- Validate communication protocols such as CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, Ethernet, FlexRay, and UDS Diagnostics.
- Work closely with software, hardware, and system engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle.
- Support continuous integration and automated testing environments.
- Prepare test reports, maintain test documentation, and ensure compliance with project standards.

Required Skills

- Strong experience in Embedded Systems Testing and Validation.
- Hands-on experience with HIL Testing and Simulation.
- Expertise in CANalyzer, CANoe, CANape, dSPACE ControlDesk, or equivalent tools.
- Positive understanding of AUTOSAR architecture.
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink model-based development and testing.
- Knowledge of automotive communication protocols:
- CAN/CAN FD
- LIN
- Ethernet
- UDS Diagnostics

- Experience in test automation using Python or scripting languages.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
