Role & responsibilities

- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and service areas.
- Clean and sanitize all utensils, dishes, cookware, and kitchen equipment in compliance with FSSAI and internal hygiene protocols.
- Assist kitchen and service staff during operations by organizing and replenishing ingredients, crockery, and cutlery.
- Support in basic food preparation and plating if required.
- Ensure proper garbage disposal and segregation as per sustainability guidelines.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and inform supervisor of replenishment needs.
- Help set up and break down service areas before and after operations.
- Handle cleaning and upkeep of restrooms and common guest areas.
- Follow SOPs and health & safety standards at all times.
- Assist in receiving and organizing deliveries; ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO method).

Preferred candidate profile

Education/ Qualification:

- Degree or Diploma in Hotel Management / Hospitality Management from a recognized institute.

Experience:

- 1 to 5 years of experience as a steward or in a similar role in premium hotels, fine-dining restaurants, or high-end cafs.
