We are seeking an experienced Automation Test Engineer (Java SDET) with solid expertise in Core Java, Selenium, API Testing, Cucumber, BDD Frameworks, Jenkins, Maven, and Git. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test solutions for APIs and web applications while ensuring high software quality and compliance with enterprise testing standards.
The role requires strong automation testing experience, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with globally distributed teams in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
Automation Testing
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications and APIs.
- Develop automation frameworks using Java-based technologies and industry best practices.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Ensure high-quality software delivery through automation-first testing approaches.
API Testing
- Validate REST APIs including:
- GET
- POST
- PUT
- DELETE
- Test request-response mechanisms, message schemas, and API contracts.
- Perform API automation and backend validation activities.
BDD & Test Framework Development
- Develop automation scenarios using:
- Cucumber
- BDD Methodology
- Gherkin Syntax
- Create reusable test components and frameworks.
- Maintain testing documentation and test cases.
DevOps & CI/CD Integration
- Integrate automation testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Work with:
- Jenkins
- Maven
- Git
- Support continuous testing and delivery initiatives.
Quality Engineering
- Review test processes and identify automation opportunities.
- Coordinate testing activities across projects.
- Analyze defects and prioritize issues based on business impact.
- Support quality governance and testing standards.
Collaboration & Agile Delivery
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint activities.
- Collaborate with development teams across multiple locations.
- Mentor and support junior testers where required.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across testing processes.
