## About the Role

We are looking for a skilled **Snowflake Developer / Data Engineer** with 34 years of relevant experience in data engineering, data warehousing, and cloud data platforms.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in **Snowflake, SQL, ETL/ELT pipelines, Python, and cloud platforms**, with the ability to work on scalable data solutions, performance optimization, production support, and data governance.

## Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, optimize, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data warehouse solutions using Snowflake.
- Develop and manage ETL/ELT workflows for integrating data from multiple sources.
- Implement Snowflake features including **Streams, Tasks, Snowpipe, Dynamic Tables, Materialized Views, Time Travel, and Zero-Copy Cloning**.
- Develop efficient SQL queries and perform query optimization and performance tuning.
- Work on data modelling using **Star Schema, Snowflake Schema**, and other dimensional modelling techniques.
- Implement and manage **RBAC, security controls, and access policies** within Snowflake.
- Monitor data pipelines and provide production support, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
- Optimize Snowflake workloads for both **performance and cost efficiency**.
- Develop Python scripts and automation for data processing and operational activities.
- Work with cloud platforms such as **AWS,



Azure, or GCP**, including cloud storage services such as Amazon S3.
- Follow data governance, metadata management, security, and data quality best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver reliable data solutions.

## Required Technical Skills

- **3–4 years** of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or Cloud Data Platforms.
- Strong hands-on experience with **Snowflake**.
- Excellent expertise in **SQL and query optimization**.
- Robust understanding of data warehousing and data modelling concepts.
- Experience with scalable **ETL/ELT pipelines**.
- Proficiency in **Python** for automation and data processing.
- Experience with **AWS / Azure / GCP** and cloud storage platforms, preferably S3.
- Hands-on understanding of:

* Snowflake Streams & Tasks

* Snowpipe

* Dynamic Tables

* Time Travel & Zero-Copy Cloning

* Materialized Views

* RBAC & Security Management

* Performance Tuning

* Cost Optimization

- Experience in production support, monitoring, troubleshooting, and RCA.
- Understanding of data governance, metadata management, and security best practices.

## Preferred Skills

- Exposure to **Snowflake Cortex AI** capabilities.
- Knowledge of **OpenMetadata, Collibra**, or other metadata management platforms.
- Experience with orchestration tools such as **Apache Airflow**.
- Exposure to modern cloud-based data engineering architectures.
