Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to manage end-to-end accounting activities, including maintaining books of accounts, cost analysis, asset accounting, billing, and financial analysis. The candidate will also be responsible for procurement-related accounting and performing competitive and quarterly financial analysis of peer IT companies.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting & Finance:

- Maintain accurate books of accounts in compliance with accounting standards.
- Handle general ledger accounting, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Manage asset creation, capitalization, depreciation, and asset registers.
- Perform cost analysis and support management with cost optimization insights.
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing.

Billing & Payments:

- Manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Ensure timely vendor payments and follow-ups on receivables.
- Verify invoices, expense claims, and supporting documents.
- Coordinate with internal teams for billing accuracy and collections.

Procurement & Vendor Management:

- Support procurement accounting, including PO verification and vendor reconciliation.
- Track procurement costs and analyze vendor pricing.
- Maintain vendor master data and compliance records.





Financial & Competitive Analysis:

- Conduct quarterly financial analysis of peer IT companies.
- Prepare competitive benchmarking reports based on industry data.
- Analyze cost structures, margins, and financial trends of competitors.
- Support management with insights for strategic and financial planning.

Compliance & Reporting:

- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, income tax, and other statutory requirements.
- Support audits (internal & external) by preparing required documentation.
- Prepare MIS reports and financial dashboards for leadership.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience with billing, AP/AR, asset accounting, and cost analysis.
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (Tally / Zoho Books / SAP / QuickBooks, etc.).
- Understanding of GST, TDS, and statutory compliances in India.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail.

Good to Have:

- Experience in an IT / Software services company.
- Knowledge of financial modeling or industry benchmarking.
- Exposure to quarterly reports and competitor analysis.
- CA-Inter / CMA-Inter candidates preferred (not mandatory).
