Role Overview

We are seeking a talented and motivated Design Engineer Fire Protection, Fire Alarm & ELV Systems with 5+ years of experience to join our NextGen Design Studio. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in Fire Protection, Fire Alarm, and ELV system design, with exposure to international projects and BIM-driven workflows.

The role involves preparing engineering designs, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring compliance with international standards, and contributing to the delivery of high-quality engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop Fire Protection, Fire Alarm, and ELV systems for commercial, residential, healthcare, hospitality, industrial, and mixed-use projects.
- Prepare system layouts, design calculations, specifications, and technical documentation for:

- Fire Sprinkler Systems
- Hydrant Systems
- Fire Alarm Systems
- Voice Evacuation Systems
- CCTV Systems
- Access Control Systems
- Structured Cabling Systems
- Public Address (PA) Systems
- Other ELV Services

- Support BIM-based design development using Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and related engineering software.
- Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Architectural, and Structural disciplines for integrated project delivery.




- Ensure compliance with project requirements and international codes and standards.
- Participate in design reviews, clash detection, and multidisciplinary coordination meetings.
- Prepare and review technical submissions, shop drawings, and engineering deliverables.
- Support quality assurance initiatives and continuous process improvements.
- Assist senior engineers and project leads in project execution and client coordination.
- Stay updated with industry trends, digital engineering practices, and emerging technologies.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's Degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Fire Protection, Fire Alarm, and ELV system design.
- Experience working on commercial, healthcare, residential, hospitality, industrial, data center, or mixed-use projects.
- Exposure to UK, Middle East, or other international projects is preferred.
- Strong understanding of international standards such as NFPA, BS Standards, UAE Fire & Life Safety Code, IEC, and related ELV standards.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and BIM workflows.
- Good knowledge of engineering calculations, system sizing, and design documentation.
- Strong communication, coordination, and teamwork skills.
- Professional certifications such as NFPA, BICSI, IFE, or related credentials will be an added advantage.
